Announcement

Dear Parishioners and Friends of the community, as you may know, Bishop Brennan has reassigned Father Killick to Most Precious Blood Parish in Astoria. Please pray for him and join us on Thursday, June 29th, at 7:30 pm at Incarnation for a mass of Thanksgiving. It is also his 10th anniversary of priesthood. After mass, we will have a time of social and an opportunity for personal gratitude for him.

I am joyful to report that Bishop Brennan has assigned Father Rodnev Lapommeray to our parish. Father Rodnev is a priest of our Diocese who was born and raised in Brooklyn (St Jerome Parish). He was ordained on June 4th, 2011, by Bishop DiMarzio. He will start his Assignment on June 30th and will be living at St. Gerard Majella.

I am also joyful to report that we welcome back home, Father Enemili. Father Enemili has come back from his Diocese in Nigeria. He will be working full-time at the Tribunal in the Immaculate Conception Center and will be in Residence at Incarnation. We are not sure yet when he will be moving in as he is helping at two parishes in South Jamaica. He will be moving in at some point over the summer, and we are in the process of reactivating Incarnation Rectory as a residence. There is a lot of work to do there to bring it up to code for a living. We have to put about 30,000 into the building to make it a healthy place to live full-time. Currently, it is only being used part-time as a place for rest for our seminarians and an overnight guest room for priest/nun visitors. We will do a lot of work over the summer in this area.

Please pray for all our priests at this time and pray for the needed work to be done fast and safely so we can again use it as a residence.

God bless,

Father Gannon
